Role Description
The Course Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of the course by providing both administrative and technical support. Working closely with the Responsible Teacher and Assistant Teachers, the role involves coordinating course logistics, maintaining attendance records, and facilitating clear communication with students on schedules, deadlines, and assessments. The Course Assistant also helps manage the course workspace on MyCourses, assists with classroom setups, and supports any online or hybrid teaching activities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys an organised, dynamic environment and values contributing to a well-run and engaging learning experience.
The working period is 8 December 2025 – 30 April 2026.
In brief the role requires:
- Liaising with Responsible Teacher and Assistant Teachers regarding course administration.
- Creation and updating of course attendance records.
- Liaise with students regarding course administration.
- Responding to student queries about logistics, deadlines, or assessment formats.
- Assist in managing the course platform on MyCourses.
- Assisting with classroom materials and equipment before sessions (slides, AV setups, handouts).
- Supporting online or hybrid teaching sessions (If any).
- Managing technical or practical needs during sessions.
- Other additional administrative tasks are required throughout the course schedule.
