Etteplan is looking for an Embedded Software Designer<\/strong> to join the team in Finland. In the role, you will work alongside software professionals with the implementation and programming of embedded systems in automotive, telecommunications, medical, IoT and industrial R&D projects. The customers are typically well known international Finnish and global companies aiming for safer machines, production efficiency, or additional capacity. Your tasks include embedded software development in the field of Embedded Linux or with lightweight microcontroller based systems. Since the customer base is very diverse, the operating models and methods in our projects vary and the final job description can be modified based on your own strengths as we strive to consider your wishes regarding projects and your work.<\/p>\n

To succeed in this role, you have already gained experience in software development with C\/C++ – preferably with embedded software. Skills with Embedded Linux, Digital signal processing, microcontrollers and embedded system architecture are valued, but not necessary. You might have worked in electronics design as well as practical hands-on development of electronic devices and circuit boards using debugging tools and measurement equipment. Additionally, you embody good analytical skills and preferably hold an M.Sc.\/B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer science or similar applicable area. You are a team player with a customer-minded approach and good communication skills. However, you don\u2019t have to be an expert in everything since a curious and learning-oriented mindset goes a long way!<\/p>\n

\n– Hold a degree in electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, or a similar area
\n– Have work experience in the field of software engineering or embedded systems with C\/C++

\n– Are fluent in both written and spoken English<\/p>\n

In this position, you will be employed directly by Etteplan. Etteplan offices are located across Finland and you may choose the location that suits you the best. We also offer great remote working possibilities as long as you have an occasional readiness to visit the office.<\/p>\n
