Tesi (Finnish Industry Investment), a Finnish state-owned private equity and venture capital firm managing a portfolio of 1.3B\u20ac, is looking for an Analyst Trainee to join its Research & Development team for the summer 2020. The hired individual will aid both Tesi and the Finnish government in navigating through the current turmoil by (i) deriving quantitative insights on how the current situation impacts Finnish SMEs and the Private Equity & Venture Capital market and (ii) formulating data-driven recommendations on how the economy could be steered towards recovery and growth through financial measures. An ideal candidate would meet the following criteria, but we encourage all interested individuals to apply for the position:<\/p>\n
Interest in the Finnish economy, finance and Private Equity \/ Venture Capital
\nHands-on experience in doing \u201cdata wrangling\u201d, descriptive analysis, statistics and predictive modeling with Python or R
\nA grasp of the fundamentals of economics, corporate finance and statistics (both frequentists and Bayesians are welcomed)
\nFluent written and spoken communication skills in both Finnish and English
