Athene’s harassment contact persons
Hello!
We are Kerttu, Rylee, Pinja and Veeti. We act as Athene’s harassment contact persons, or HCPs. Together with the board we are working on making guild activities more equal and approachable for everyone. The aim is to make every guild member feel welcome to join the activities just as they are.
You can contact us at any time if you experience or see bullying, discrimination, harassment or other inappropriate treatment. Athene has a zero tolerance policy for inappropriate treatment, which means that you can contact us with a very low threshold. Confidentiality is paramount in our work, so nothing you say to us will be passed on if you don’t wish for us to take action. In addition to us, you can contact the main organisers of the event, such as the Host and Hostess, the Head of Corporate Relations or the Freshmen captain.
Although harassment unfortunately occurs at Athene too, there is no need to fear participating in events or other guild activities. If you feel uncomfortable about something, it is worth talking about it so that something can be done about it. Our guild is full of open-minded and enthusiastic people and contributors who want the guild’s activities to be meaningful for all guild members

Kerttu Peura
Hi! I’m Kerttu, an Info student from 2021. In the last few years my free time has been pretty much spent on volunteer work, but besides that I love all kinds of (outdoor) sports and i.e. hiking. Send a message, give me a call or tug on my sleeve at Olkkari to chat somewhere quieter if you have anything on your mind!
(Note: I’m doing an exchange semester in the spring of 2025, so during that time please contact the other HCPs that can also be seen face-to-face if needed)
Rylee Liao (廖苓君)
Hi! I’m Rylee(苓君), a first-year international master’s student. I’m from China and can offer support in both English and Chinese (Finnish is still under construction!). In my spare time, I love hiking, camping, playing music, and practicing Thai boxing. These activities help me feel powerful, helping me grow stronger both mentally and physically.
As a harassment contact person, my role is to provide a safe, confidential, and supportive space for anyone facing harassment or inappropriate behavior. Whether you need guidance, a listening ear, or information on available resources, I’m here to help.
Pinja Paloheimo
Hello! I’m Pinja Paloheimo, Athene freshman ‘24. My hobbies include various sports, relaxing and nowadays also knitting! Please contact me if you have anything on your mind, and I’ll do my best to help.
Veeti Pellinen
Hi! I’m a second-year Athene student, and this year I’ve applied for several volunteer roles, including the HCP. I spend a lot of my free time doing sports—especially hitting the gym or walking my dog. Feel free to reach me out anytime, whether you have something on your mind or just want to catch up!
